Two Blind Dogs and Milhouse

Home Two Blind Dogs and Milhouse

When I’m not out taking photos, or entering the occasional competition, my days are spent with our two wonderful Labradors “Kai” and “Teapot”. As you can see from their photo, they are “double the trouble, and most definitely twice the fun”. They are also now both completely blind, due to a hereditary condition called Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). Even though we can’t do things as fast as we used to, we still do everything dogs are meant to do: walking, swimming and lots of sniffing.

And the last photo goes to Milhouse, an adorably mean-spirited cat who ruled our house for some sixteen years. We don’t miss the butter being licked and the half dead birds being left for us but we do miss the pure joy that comes from sharing a house with a cat.

“If animals could speak, the dog would be a blundering outspoken fellow; but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much.”   Mark Twain
